EXCEPTIONAL KIDS ATHLETICS INC Athletic Programs for Children with Special Needs
Calling all EKA supporters
We wanted to provide an update on our season status. Our organization is in the process of restructuring both our programs and Board Members. We are aiming to have a season locked and loaded for the start of Winter 2019.
In loving memory of our founder, Scott Prainito, we are asking for donations to continue to keep his dream, EKA alive and thriving. The loss of Scott was a hard hit to our organization, but we are ready to continue to push forward in his loving memory. Scott’s dream was to provide a place for children with special needs to feel included while having fun playing sports and also providing a place for parent’s to feel that proud feeling of watching their children play sports in a safe environment with professional support and guidance. Please donate to help us keep this dream alive. We are so excited for our winter season roll out. Thank you so much for your patience.

VISION EKA’s vision is to give both the parent of a special needs’ child and the child themselves the same athletic experience that parents of typical children and typical children themselves experience when playing in a recreational sport. We do this by:
Having qualified, trained professionals working with the child on the field
Our coaches are CPR certified and coaching certified so they know how to teach the sport.
Parents DO NOT have to participate in the sport, they can sit in the stands
Our athletes receive personalized uniforms with their name and number
Award banquet at the end of the season
No one is allowed on the field over the age of 18 without a background check or special permission from the EKA board, this includes parents
Parents may have to participate in a fundraiser
All our volunteers, both Coaches, Adult and Buddy Volunteers receive training in teaching skills, handling behavior, and knowing about different diagnosis’
We play is a secure environment with only one way in and out
Everyone must sign in
MISSION To provide the special needs population and their families a safe and nurturing environment in which special needs professionals and athletic professionals will educate, encourage and assist those with unique needs in all aspects of athletic competition.
Motto There is NOTHING we CAN’T accomplish!
In Loving memory of Co-Founder Scott Prainito 1968-2015. This program was his vision.
